Yeah! I did another page.

I'm nowhere near caught up - but I'm finally feeling like scrapbooking again. I should get several pages done in the next few days, children allowing of course. I won't post them all here - but you can check out my scrapbooks using the link under our 'January Family Pictures' slideshow. I'll get '09 updated soon!

I love this picture of Xander. I haven't been able to catch his smiling eyes before because he's a ham for the camera. There are times he smile like this so big that his eyes are just tiny slivers in a crescent shape.

My Latest Scrapbook Page

Yup - the dates of the pictures are 1/2 & 1/7 and I just barely scrapped it! This is actually the first page I've done on my 2009 scrapbook. I LOVE scrapbooking but have been having a hard time feeling inspired lately. I think it's time to buy another scrapping magazine to see if any of the cute layouts get me going.

Xander is such a cutie - he loves participating in any new project I can come up with. I am constantly scouring the internet for fun new activities to do with him.

Hello, My Name is Shanon - and I have an addiction

It's true - I have an addiction. I have become SO addicted to reading that I think I might have a problem. I will be finishing up my 14th novel of 2009 in the next day or so.

Where do I get the time to do this, you ask?? Well you see, if you don't fold laundry, clean the house, mop the floors, or watch tv (that's an ok one to go without) you will have PLENTY of time to read.

I am admitting my addiction because I need to do something about it - not sure what because I don't want to stop reading or even slow down.

I KNOW - I just had an incredible idea - I'll hire a maid! Problem Solved!

BUSTED

Xander thought he was SO sneaky. He was playing in his room and then he got quiet. It's when their quiet that you need to worry. The noisy playing is safe (as long as there isn't too many loud crashes). But the quiet...

I was just about to go check on him when he came out of the hall smiling and trying to look as innocent as possible. He acted like he had NO clue why I was upset. But he was smart - he cleaned up my makeup after using it.

I showed him what he looked like in the mirror & he got the funniest look on his face and started giggling. I think he figured out how I knew. We washed his face & he immediately ran off to check the mirror again.

Is it bad to laugh???

I find myself laughing at him when I should probably be upset ALL THE TIME. Xander has such a cute personality. He is insanely curious about the world around him & is constantly trying to figure things out. I guess a few mishaps along the way aren't bad!

JAMES MADE THE TEAM

JAMES MADE THE TEAM! Although this didn't come as a surprise it was still good news. James got a call from the head coach reminding him to come to the final tryouts & to tell him when camp was - so he had a pretty good idea that he'd make the team.

James started trying out for the new Ogden Indoor Professional Football team at the end of December. He pulled a hamstring at both the 1st & 2nd tryouts. It was so funny actually because James used to say that if you got injured playing football it was because you weren't commited. James is saying that he was committed & got injured because he's an old man. I guess opinions change with time (and injuries).

James is excited & a little nervous about this new adventure.

Elsha had a doctor's appointment today. She is SO TALL! She is 30" tall & is in the 98th percentile for her age/gender. Her weight on the other hand is in the 60th percentile. She is healthy and happy!

Blue's Clues

Xander LOVES Blue's Clues. It's one of the very few shows that he will sit and veg for.
James' work pants have grease stains on them that he & I pay no attention to anymore. Xander noticed the unique shape of the stains though! It was VERY close to the shape of a Blue's Clues paw print. Xander pointed out James' stain and started saying "Boos-Coo, Boos-Coo."
James and I are always laughing at Xander's creativity

I was SO excited when I heard the doorbell today. My 2008 Scrapbook was printed, bound & finally here!

It is so cute. It's actually better then I expected. I can't wait to start on 2009! I already have about 10 pages that need to be done. It's a never ending chore - like laundry. Only scrapbooking is something that I enjoy!
